COMPANY STATEMENT & POLICY CHANGES    Updated April 1, 2020

Central Ohio CPR values our relationship and business partnership with Ohio’s childcare providers as well as healthcare providers and nursing students. We want to help you complete your training in the safest and healthiest possible way. We are implementing the following changes effective immediately:

Effective 3/23/20 through 4/30/20, all classroom courses have been changed to online and blended formats to limit person to person contact and exposure to others.   Our courses may be done online with a follow up virtual skills session if applicable.  This would include Community CPR, HCP-BLS, and some BFA certifications.  Vitural Skills (if necessary) will be done remotely one-on- one with our primary instructor, Chris Alexander, EMT-P.

We will reassess the situation 4/30/20 to see if able to open the training facility.  This would mean resuming the in-person skills as well as classroom sessions. The following will be strictly enforced by our staff:

If you are ill or believe you have been exposed to the virus, DO NOT come to the training center. Full refunds will be issued if you communicate to us the reason for canceling.  If not notified, the standard policy of ½ fee charges will still occur.

  • The maximum number of students in the training center for skills testing will be 16.
  • Students will take a seat in the classroom as soon as checked in, refraining from contact with others as much as possible.
  • Students will be separated to the best of our ability by at least 6 feet of distance.
  • No mouth to manikin contact shall occur (no breathing practicals).
  • All manikins, tables, equipment and surfaces touched by students will be disinfected before and after skills testing.
  • There will be no classroom books or other items passed around or collected. We will provide you with a class note sheet and ask you to bring your own pen or pencil.
  • Instructors will wear personal protective equipment, gloves, etc. during the testing when in close contact to the students.
  • All non-electric doors will remain propped open.  We provide automatic soap and towel dispensers and ask that paper towels be used to turn on/off faucets and open/close stall doors in restrooms.  Do not discard paper towels in toilets.
  • Refreshments and vending service is being temporarily suspended.  You may bring snacks and drinks with you if you desire.
  • Multiple hand sanitizer stations, tissues, and open top trashcans will be located throughout the training center.
  • All students are encouraged to wash hands before and after the testing.

Healthcare Providers BLS Students Only:  All American Heart Healthcare Provider BLS students must complete Heartcode Part 1 through the AHA website prior to your scheduled skills testing.  The completion certificate must be emailed to us prior to your exam time. The link is: https://shopcpr.heart.org/heartcode-bls/

Childcare Providers Only: We realize that you may be a experiencing a loss of enrollment and income over the next several weeks.  We have TEMPORARILY reduced all Child Abuse, Communicable Disease, and Blended Community CPR & Basic First Aid Courses to the cost of the classroom versions for courses taking place in March and April.

We are hopeful this is short lived but feel you must take precautions to stay healthy and avoid unnecessary contact with others as much as possible.

As a family owned company, we pray for your protection and good health.

Chris & Diane Alexander
