SKILLS TEST

This course is for healthcare providers seeking an initial or renewal BLS certification implementing the American Heart Association online course.  

This course is designed in 3 parts that can be taken at your own pace.

Part 1 can be completed in approximately 1 to 2 hours online at your own pace.  You will need to go to the American Heart Association website to register and pay for this part.  The current cost is $17.50.  This segment will include a series of self-paced online modules.  Students answer short multiple-choice questions within case-based scenarios and receive feedback based on answers you provide as you proceed through 10 critical checkpoints.  This course provides access to 21 optional review sections, including 17 videos which reinforce the adult, child, and infant CPR sequences taught in the course.

Parts 2 & 3 are completed at Central Ohio CPR and generally takes less than an hour to complete.  You will register for one of the open skills sessions listed on our schedule after fully completing part 1 above.  The completion certification from AHA must be brought to class for you to test with us.

The cost of the Skills Evaluation and Testing is $35.  You will be asked to perform your skills learned through the online course.

Upon successful completion of the skills demonstration and testing, you will receive your AHA HCP-BLS certification card at the training center.
