Basic First Aid
Basic first aid is the immediate care given to the injured or suddenly ill. It is designed to teach students how to provide care until competent medical professionals arrive. In this course the student will learn to care for persons suffering from bleeding, fractures, shock, burns and other injuries. The student will be come familiar with medical emergencies and care concerning diabetes, asthma, stroke, poisonings, and other common medical illnesses.
Both ADULT and PEDIATRIC care is covered in this 4 hour course.
The certification is through ASHI - American Safety and Health Institute and is a 2 year certification. The course is appropriate whether taking as an initial or a recert student, as guidelines continually change.This course meets all national and state requirements for first aid training, and is approved by the Ohio Dept of Job & Family Services for Child Care Providers.
The course cost is $40.
