PedFACTs

Pediatric First Aid for Caregivers & Teachers 

 

PedFACTs is a new First Aid program developed by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) specifically to prepare caregivers and teachers to appropriately recognize and respond to the ill or injured child. This course is fast paced and has group activities and exercises which keep the class involved.   First Aid specific to children is covered as well as a brief refresher in child/infant CPR and obstructed airway.

This class is for those in the childcare setting who must be able to provide basic, minor first aid care to both infants and children.   Adult first aid and care is not covered in this course.

ODJFS APPROVED FOR TRAINING IN FIRST AID

Course Length: 4 Hours 

Certification Period:   2 Years

Students receive a completion card and ODJFS form for First Aid Training
