Healthcare Provider CPR / BLS
American Heart Association
The American Heart Association Basic Life Support / Healthcare Provider CPR course is designed for healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses, paramedics, EMT’s, respiratory therapists, physical & occupational therapists, physicians assistants, medical or nursing students, aides, medical or nursing assistants, fire fighters, police officers and other allied health personnel.
This is a 4 hour course providing a 2 year certification. The course is appropriate whether taking as an initial or a recert student, as guidelines continually change.
The 4 hour course includes the following skills:
CPR for Adult, Child (Pediatric) and Infant
Blocked Airway and Choking
AED training (Automatic Defibrillator)
Ventilation with a barrier device and oxygen
Additional skills necessary for a medical/dental setting
The course cost is $50.
AHA books may be purchased at the time of class for an additional $15. Classroom copies are available for usage during class at no cost to you.
