Healthcare Provider - BLS

(American Heart Association)

The American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider Course teaches CPR skills for helping victims of all ages (including doing ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-valve mask device, and oxygen); use of an automated external defibrillator (AED); and relief of a foreign body airway obstruction (FBAO).  It's intended for participants who provide health care to patients in a wide variety of settings, including in-hospital and out-of-hospital. For certified or non-certified, licensed or non-licensed healthcare professionals.   This course includes both adult and pediatric, as well as AED training.

Intended Audience:  Healthcare providers, such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, respiratory therapists, physical & occupational therapists, physicians assistants, residents or fellows, or medical or nursing students in training, aides, medical or nursing assistants, fire fighters & police officers and other allied health personnel. This course is the preferred educational course for healthcare providers in Central Ohio and is recognized by all hospitals, nursing programs and state licensing boards.

Written / Skills exam required for completion card & 2-year certification
