Basic First Aid 

  Basic first aid is the immediate care given to the injured or suddenly ill. It is designed to teach students how to provide care until competent medical professionals arrive. In this course the student will learn to care for persons suffering from bleeding, fractures, shock, burns and other injuries. The student will be come familiar with medical emergencies and care concerning diabetes, asthma, stroke, poisonings, and other common medical illnesses. This course meets all national and state requirements for first aid training, and is approved by the Ohio Dept of Job & Family Services for Child Care Providers.

You can take an initial training course of 4 hours that is good for 2-years or an initial course of 6 hours good for 3-years. ODJFS renewal requires a minimum of 3 hours which is combined into our  4-Hr Basic First Aid course. 

Course Length: 4 or 6 Hours

Certification Period: 2 or 3 Years

Students receive completion card & certification
